This profound statement from our seminary president’s chapel message this past Sunday for Proper 19 invites us to see the justice of God through the lens of Jesus Christ. The justice of God is not cold retribution, but the holy love of the Father that refuses to leave His creation captive to sin, death, and brokenness. In the incarnation, the Son does not stand at a distance from our wounds; He enters fully into our humanity and takes our brokenness upon Himself, carrying it through the cross and into resurrection. In Christ, we see that the Father’s purpose is not simply to condemn what is broken, but to redeem and restore it, making all things new in and through His beloved Son. This restorative work is not something we merely look back on, for the Holy Spirit continually unites us to Christ and draws us into the life of the Triune God, bearing witness within us to the Father’s love revealed in the Son. Divine justice cannot leave wounds unhealed. The good news of the gospel is that in Christ, we see the justice of the Father, whose love is determined to restore what has been broken and bring His creation into the fullness of life for which it was made. #divinejustice #proper19 #trinitariantheology #globalgraceseminary
There’s something deeply beautiful about this thought from Chris E.W. Green. The gospel isn’t simply about trying harder to live a good life but about being drawn into the life of the Triune God as we receive the life of Christ and, by the Spirit, learn to live from the goodness and love of the Father. Grace doesn’t just change what we believe. It changes how we live, how we love, and how we become a gift to the people around us. That’s the beauty of the gospel: the life of God becoming alive in us for the good of others. Father John Behr writes that rather than viewing the Incarnation as an event confined to the distant past, we should see it “as a possibility that is to be lived as an ever-contemporary reality, here and now in those who respond to him.” The good news of the gospel is that the Incarnation is not merely something Christ did then, but that in Christ, God has entered our humanity and, in Christ, our humanity has been brought into the life of God. The One who took our humanity upon himself continues to make his life known in us: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27 (RSV) The risen Christ is therefore not distant from us; by the Holy Spirit, the Son makes his home in us and draws us into his own relationship with the Father, so that what Christ has accomplished for us becomes the very life in which we participate: “For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.” — Ephesians 2:18 (RSV) The gospel, then, is not simply that Christ came, but that Christ has come, Christ is with us, and Christ lives in us—and by the Spirit, we are continually being drawn into the communion of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Bishop Jamie Englehart

Chancellor

In addition to his service as Chancellor of Global Grace Seminary, Jamie Englehart is President and Founder of Connect International Ministries (C.I.M.), a family of churches, ministries, businesses, and leaders.  His book, Myths and Mistranslations, has been a key turning point for many as they awaken to a God who is Love, revealed fully in Jesus Christ. 

He serves as a Bishop/Overseer to those in C.I.M. as well as too many other leaders across the body of Christ.  He is widely sought after for his unique, multi-dimensional understanding of the kingdom of God, the New Covenant, and the heart of the Father revealed through Jesus Christ. 

Jamie is married to Wendy, who is a a recording artist and for over 30 years, they have ministered across the globe, serving as elders, church planters, bible school teachers, spiritual parents and itinerant ministers.  They have two children, Brittany and Brandon, a son-in-love, Estevan, and daughter-in-love, Shyla, and two of the most beautiful granddaughter’s on the planet, Caydence Rocha & Ariyah Rocha. 

Their children traveled with them for 16 years and ministered in music all over the U.S. and abroad and are involved in ministry as adults to this day.  Their hearts desire is to see future generations empowered, affirmed, fathered, and guided into their kingdom purpose by releasing inheritance and connecting generations.
