There are many excuses for why theology and ministry remain male dominated disciplines. And none of them are acceptable. GGS remains committed to ensuring opportunities exist to access a first-class Christ-centered education for the marginalized.

In honor of our Mothers - whether biological, adoptive, fictive, or spiritual - who have reflected the love of Love Himself to us, forming us, guiding us, praying for us, teaching us, imparting to us, THANK YOU!

This is a great example of what happens when we lay down our proof-texts and mass-produced, cookie-cutter systematics, and instead allow Holy Spirit to breathe on scripture, revealing the silver thread of redemptive glory always at work in the world through Christ Jesus.

The Gospel is even better than we’ve dared to imagine.

John 20:24-29
24 But Thomas (who was called the Twin), one of the twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger in the mark of the nails and my hand in his side, I will not believe.” 26 A week later his disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not doubt but believe.” 28 Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” (NRSVue)
Questioning is the byproduct of trust, not a symptom of doubt. We all have parts of the human experience we find frustrating or elusive. When we doubt the goodness of the one with the answer, we keep our mouths shut. But when the solution is held by someone we have come to believe genuine and committed to our wellbeing, we are comfortable letting the ‘why’s’ fly.

It’s true of interpersonal relationships.

It’s even more true of our interaction with the Trinity.

Asking God questions is a sign of TRUST, not doubt.
