The Church — the gathered assembling of those awakening to their in-Christ identity — is a living organism, ever-conforming to a clearer, truer image of He who is the firstborn among many brethren. As such, while she is INFORMED by her history, she is neither LIMITED nor DEFINED by it. We benefit immensely by engaging our brethren who preceded us on this amazing journey of unveiled discovery, through their writings, examples, and legacies more broadly. What the Creed calls the ‘communion of the saints’, the ekklesia, as participants of the divine nature rooted in the I AM who supersedes all time and space, is not bound to the here and now, but extends beyond the veil of physical death, the definition of what it means for all things to be held together by Christ Jesus. And yet her story continues, ebbing and flowing, twisting and turning, reforming while remaining eternally tethered to her Head. The early church has much to teach us, no doubt. We need look no further than the abusive doctrines and atonement theories succeeding her to discover the risks of ignoring our shared past. And yet, through the miracle of ongoing revelation, we have much to teach the early church too.

Dale Hill

Associate Professor of Coaching

Dale is a certified Life Coach (2005) with a certificate in Mental Health coaching (2019). He has served as a Life Coach for the state of Pennsylvania’s Career Counseling Center helping those on welfare to find a more productive life. He has served the state of Florida helping adults with disabilities to establish their own business.

He holds a BS in Journalism from the School of Communications at Arkansas State University (1998). He has a Master of Arts in Theology from Global Grace Seminary (2022).

Dale has been a Bible teacher since 1970. He has preached in every major denominational church (including Catholic) from that time until now, where he serves as pastor of a rural Presbyterian Church in Stockton, MO.
