One of the beautiful emphases in the theology of Father Kenneth Tanner is the reminder that our humanity is not something to be despised, but something God has honored in Jesus Christ. The gospel does not tell the story of a God who distances Himself from humanity. Rather, it proclaims the Triune God who draws near. It is the Father who created humanity in His image, the Son who became flesh and forever united Himself to our humanity, and the Holy Spirit conforms us to the image of Christ, restoring us to the life and communion for which we were created. And in this, it is the Incarnation forever answers the question of our worth. God does not abandon His creation—He redeems it. In Jesus Christ, we see that humanity is not rejected but embraced, healed, and glorified. As we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we see ourselves and others through the lens of the Incarnation: beloved by the Father, reconciled through the Son, and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself this question: Is the gospel I believe actually good news? The Father did not send His Son to make acceptance possible for those who could somehow perform well enough. In Jesus Christ, He has already drawn us near, and the Holy Spirit continually reminds us that we belong to Him. The gospel was never meant to add more pressure, fear, or striving to our lives. The good news is it frees us from the exhausting cycle of trying to earn what God has already given us in Christ. Grace brings peace instead of fear, hope instead of despair, and joy instead of striving. If the message you have been hearing feels heavier than Jesus, perhaps it is time to listen again to the One who said, “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. — Romans 8:1 (RSV) Take heart in this truth today: the Father has loved us, the Son has redeemed us, and the Spirit has brought us into the life of God. Associate Professor of Coaching

Dale is a certified Life Coach (2005) with a certificate in Mental Health coaching (2019). He has served as a Life Coach for the state of Pennsylvania’s Career Counseling Center helping those on welfare to find a more productive life. He has served the state of Florida helping adults with disabilities to establish their own business.

He holds a BS in Journalism from the School of Communications at Arkansas State University (1998). He has a Master of Arts in Theology from Global Grace Seminary (2022).

Dale has been a Bible teacher since 1970. He has preached in every major denominational church (including Catholic) from that time until now, where he serves as pastor of a rural Presbyterian Church in Stockton, MO.
